Lifeless pilot beatings over Hanover
Lübbrechtsen (Lower Saxony) – Now it is a shocking certainty: Pilot Roland S. (79) from Magdeburg was already dead or unconscious when he floated over the Hanover region in his motor glider at the end of August and finally crashed into two houses in Lübbrechtsen.
︎ The interim report of the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) confirms: “The pilot radioed that he wanted to return to Magdeburg.”
After that there was no radio contact.
Evidence of heart failure
“When flying over the control zone of Hanover, the tower successfully tried to make contact via the emergency frequency.”
The plane crashed after three hours of flight time. The autopsy gave evidence of heart failure.
