Strike of November 10 for wages: demonstration of the CGT in Avignon
Only the CGT called for a strike and to demonstrate on November 10 to demand a raise wages and defend pensions at 60 years old. The union estimates that 750 employees from all professional sectors of Vaucluse were in the procession rue de la République.

The CGT explains that “for months, in the face of galloping inflation, workers in all professional sectors have been mobilizing to obtain general salary increases”. The CGT adds that “Raising wages is essential to obtain good pensions at 60“.
In Avignon, employees of the Tricastin nuclear site marched with strikers from the Montfavet hospital, the SEPR factory in Sorgues, the Saint Gobain factory in Orange. The employees of the region were also in the procession behind a barrier challenging the president of the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region on respect for their professions.
At the end of the parade, activists from the Communist Party of Vaucluse, La France Insoumise and the Union Populaire joined the mobilization.
