A German company received a EUR 1 billion RES investment in Northwestern Bulgaria
The German company is interested in investing over 1 billion euros in the construction of a photovoltaic park in Northwestern Bulgaria, the Ministry of Economy and Industry announced on Monday after a meeting between Minister Nishkola Stoyanov and the management of Profine Energy GmbH.
This is mixed between a company producing PVC profiles for windows and doors “Profine Group” (Profine Group) and solar panel manufacturer Wirt Gruppe (Wirth Gruppe), created for the planning, development, construction and operation of photovoltaic systems together with batteries for storing the energy produced by them. The company is also interested in such projects in Serbia.
Such an investment would be the largest single investment in the Bulgarian economy, according to the economic department.
“You can count on the additional support of the state to speed up administrative procedures in the realization of investment intentions,” Minister Stoyanov assured the potential investor. He presented the opportunities for incentive measures that the company can take advantage of. “You know that you are already in contact with many German companies that have chosen Bulgaria. I am sure that you will be convinced by them as well – German business feels good in our country and a number of companies are planning new expansions,” said Stoyanov.
The German company is in a very advanced phase of paying for its decision to invest in Bulgaria, it became clear during the meeting. The preparation of the Memorandum, in which “Profine Energy” will declare interest in the investments, has also started.
The company is currently in the process of establishing a subsidiary company in Bulgaria to develop and implement the photovoltaic project in Northwestern Bulgaria.
The seriousness of the investment intention was confirmed during the meeting personally by the executive director and owner of “Profine Group” Petar Mriosik and by Markus Wirth, chairman of the board of “Wirt Group”.
