Miraculous crosses are erected in a high holy zone for the protection of Bulgaria. For centuries, they have been placed by God’s chosen laymen for protection, but also for health. The places were not chosen by chance either – prophets initiated in Christian mysticism say that the hills are always healing abodes, where St. Spirit or descending angels and saints, writes “Telegraph”.

Brother Yordancho

Undoubtedly, the most miraculous such crucifix in our country is located under Mount Krastov (1545 m), in the central part of the Rhodope Mountains. The place is known today as Krastova Gora or Rhodope Jerusalem. Thousands of pilgrims go there to obtain health and strength, and the silver crucifix has already become a priceless relic, whose fame is carried beyond the borders of Bulgaria. Once upon a time, a man named Brother Yordancho had a dream that the place was extremely healing and he had to mark it as such with a cross. The local prophet happened to meet the sister of Tsar Boris III Eudokia, who had been suffering from an unknown illness for some time. He advised her to spend the night there to heal herself. And the miracle really happened. That night, the child of another relative of the monarch’s family was also healed. Then, as a sign of gratitude, they decided to find a cross that weighs twice as much as the age of Jesus Christ – 66 kilograms. However, where to add it, the donors wondered. To find out, they used help from above. On the way to the top, they met a woman who was carrying two pigeons. Then brother Yordancho correctly interpreted the sign, since it is this bird that symbolizes the Holy Spirit in the icon painting. They released the pigeons with the secret hope that they would follow them with an eye on where they would go. One flew eastward to the high hill, and there they placed the cross, which was brought in a cart, and then on arms to the high ground. The other pigeon will point to the location of the medicinal ayazmo.

Many today testify that they rise above their problems and hardships after visiting the cross near Krastov Vrah. And the cases of healings and signs are truly countless.

Consecration

Again, in the Rhodopes, in the village of Progled, another crucifix is ​​erected, consecrated on October 10, about 10 years ago. The initiator and author of the monument is the folk healer and prophet Slav Khrelev. The cross is truly impressive. It rises to a height of 13 meters and looks like the antenna, but instead of digital television it catches the signal of the Good. Khrelev revealed to “Miracles and Faith” that the cross has an angelic structure and was added there after a prophetic dream. One night he saw a huge crucifix on a high place to protect himself and help Bulgaria. “In the dream, however, I was not told exactly where to place the cross, which I was still ordered to make. I traveled around Bulgaria in search of a suitable site. One day I accidentally came across the village of Progled. I returned again and again felt that this was the place from the dream,” says Khrelev. According to him, the cosmic structure of the religious symbol is executed according to a scheme given to him by Vishche. The design has another horizontal transverse line coming from the beam to which the feet of the crucified Christ were nailed.

Slav Hrelev also believes that the very name of the village was not accidental either. It symbolizes the change – the examination of the Bulgarians and the unification as a nation under the sign of the cross. The prophetic dream of the healer managed to infect the local residents in no time. With friendly efforts, 14,000 BGN were collected. Finally, Khrelev sat down in a local yard and began to build the scaffolding according to the scheme he dreamed of. “A friend of mine was helping me, but I wonder where I got the strength to finish everything in two weeks. The welds along the waist are 800 meters,” recalls Khrelev, who also worked as an ironworker in the past.

The crucifix became two tons heavy and 13 m high. A local firm helped the megastructure climb onto the high bair. Since then, Rhodopians with kaba bagpipes gather up there every autumn.

Valya Balkanska

“Valya Balkanska also came. Separately, the village is already on the map of pilgrimage routes and attracts tourists from near and far. Many began to leave their clothes on the cross in the hope of getting better,” Khrelev also said. “We used to make sacrifices, but sacrifices are not acceptable to me after the coming of Christ. That’s why I started selling fish and mead,” says Slav Hrelev with a smile. He is glad that the cross is illuminated, and when the lamps burn out, the locals quickly organize themselves to replace them. The folk healer plans to erect a special cross over Veliko Tarnovo as well.

St. Ivan

A 10-meter metal cross grounds the pains and sins at the entrance to the village of Skrino, considered to be the native village of Saint Ivan Rilski.

For three or four years, the crucifix has been welcoming locals and tourists, and many are adamant that it is charged with incredible power.

From the Rouen monastery, a path leads to another cross – lower, but even more miraculous. He is said to grant wishes. It is stuck on the peak of Boboshevsky Rouen (1134 m).

Heals migraines in Skrino, the beginning of St. Elijah with a 34-meter cross

In recent years, residents of more and more populated areas began to erect crosses for protection and blessing from the heavenly forces. There are already many hiking trails leading to them, along which thousands of pilgrims walk. And so it helps that the crosses also have a beneficial effect on the economy of small settlements.

A rather avant-garde 34-meter crucifix rises above the town of Apriltsi. The pilgrimage trail starts from the center of the city, passing by the buried church “St. Petka Paraskeva”, which is a cultural monument of national importance.

Local legend states that Krali Marko lived in the Polentsi area, and his sister Mara – on the hill in question, called “The Cross”. Until the end of the 1960s, there was an ancient votive stone of St. Elijah, next to which on Ilinden, a village sacrifice was made in honor of the saint, who is the patron of the entire valley.

Metropolitan Nikolay of Plovdiv personally blessed the cross over the village of Krum 8 summers ago. According to the project, the 15-meter monument has LED lighting and is powered by a solar panel.

For about two years, the symbol of faith has also been erected near the Svilengrad village of Studena. The place by the road is not accidental, as there is a century-old myktur tree there.
