City of Salzburg – Diverse City – Good Practice for Art, Culture and Knowledge
The “Good Practice” presentation series as part of the Salzburg 2024 cultural strategy continues. At the Pecha Kucha evening #10 on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 7 p.m. in the Stadtgalerie Lehen, Inge-Morath-Platz 31, seven examples of forward-looking initiatives and projects will be presented.
The presentations:
- Markus Rauchmann: 5020 – Festival for Salzburg’s youth
- Amancay Jenny: Adelante – Centro Cultural Hispano
- Bernhard Koch: Renaturation of water bodies in the city of Salzburg
- Christian Winkler: Interlab cultural association
- Dorit Ehlers & Arthur Zgubic: Untitled – Network for theater and art projects
- Marius Schbella & Gertrud Fischbacher: The Nexus of Textile and Sound
- Eva Jonas & Maria Tulls-Oswald: Project Plus Track/ University of Salzburg
The prerequisite for participation in the good practice series was a connection to one of the five core themes of the cultural strategy:
Art/ cultural workers/ creative people: development opportunities, framework conditions & spaces
Ecosystems: networking between art, science and business
Old town: use and revitalize in an innovative way
Districts: Diversity and cultural participation
Central area: Central area of Salzburg & future topics
Best practice in Pecha Kucha format
Exactly 20 images, each shown for exactly 20 seconds – that’s exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds to get to the heart of a topic. With these simple but strict rules, the presentation format Pecha Kucha (Japanese for “babble of voices”, pronounced: Pechaktscha) invented in Japan has blossomed into a worldwide success model.
The “Cultural Strategy Salzburg 2024. Culture.Life.Spaces” also relies on this format in order to make extraordinary and forward-looking examples from the actual Salzburg cultural landscape visible to a wide audience.
Live stream on FS1
