Szalai can sue his club for his own rights
He still didn’t make it to the vineyard with the Swiss.
Team captain Ádám Szalai, who retired from the Hungarian national team in September, does not care that his club, the Swiss FC Basel, left him out of the squad and cannot attend training sessions.
The Swiss Look according to reports, Ádám Szalai and his agent, Urs Fischer, are considering legal action against FC Basel, because the club banned the Hungarian attacker from attending training sessions.
The paper knows that Szalai does not rest on the management’s decision, and is determined to do the right thing for legal help. The footballer argues that he has a contract with the team, so they cannot ban him from training.
For now, the Swiss newspaper can only guess what motivated the club to make this decision. Blick believes that, according to Basel, the Hungarian attacker is not a team player, and they blame him for the fact that he was the only one among the football players who did not go there to greet the visiting fans during the September match in Vilnius. According to some, his club is also hurt by the fact that he reported injured at Basel before the last Nations League matches, and then scored the winning goal against Germany in the national team.
“We expect FC Basel to immediately resolve this incomprehensible and impermissible procedure,” the player’s agent told the Swiss newspaper.
The routine forward joined the Swiss team in February, since then he has played on the 24th, scoring six times, but this season he hardly got a chance, he was last used in a match in September. Since then, he has been kicked out of the squad and cannot take part in training.
