PISA – The ‘Sunday in music’ starts again at Palazzo Blu from 6 November
Starting from November 6, Palazzo Blu resumes the usual Sunday morning cultural activities in the auditorium, starting with the ‘Domenica in musica’ review.
It starts with the young talents of the Stefano Strata Academy of Music, which arrives the 2022/2023 edition of ‘Domenica in Musica’, an appointment that will arrive until 7 May. For the Stefano Strata Academy of Music, the winners of the scholarships and the best students of the piano, violin and guitar masterclasses will be on stage, according to the proven formula of the double concert, which on the one hand allows the performance of a greater number of musicians and on the other hand makes the show more enjoyable and varied for listeners. On November 6 we start with Andrea Curiale and Alessio Ciprietti introduced by Milli Russo. IThe guitarist Andrea Curiale, winner of the scholarship of the classical guitar masterclass of Maestro Aniello Desiderio, offers a repertoire of great virtuosity that moves between various historical periods, from the first half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. The second concert features the piano of Alessio Ciprietti, a young teacher of the Academy, already a scholarship winner. His program is traversed by an expressive vein made of intimacy, sensitivity, interior dialogue. From November 20, for 5 weeks, the appointment is instead with the Jazz concert lessons, meetings promoted by Pisa Jazz, with a program of five monographs of great figures in the history of Jazz. The five events, conducted by Francesco Martinelli, will be dedicated to five influential musicians who have indelibly marked the path of this music. The artistic direction of the lecture-concert cycle is handled by the artistic director of Pisa Jazz Francesco Mariotti and by the historian and scholar Francesco Martinelli. From January to March 2023, ‘Domenica in Musica’ is organized by the Area Foundation. This year the main theme of the concerts is a musical journey to distant places, both geographically and in the deep cultural fabric. The concerts will range through the work of authors from different eras and nations, highlighting the characteristics of their poetics and their roots.
The cycle of ‘Domenica in musica’ meetings is organized in collaboration with Palazzo Blu and the Pisa Foundation. To participate in the events, which are held in the auditorium of Palazzo Blu and are free to enter, it is necessary to book on the platform eventbrite.it. For information palazzoblu.it
