Portugal opens registration for future work visa applicants
Brazilians who intend to obtain a work visa in Portugal can now complete an important step in the process. This Monday (3), the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) made available a platform so that it can work and designate a document for the Portuguese country.
Called the “Work Search Visa Declaration”, registration is the first step in requesting authorization to enter Portugal in order to look for a job. The interested citizen would need all form fields, which includes, in addition to the data, information on the level of education, known areas, areas of professional experience and languages of interest. According to the deadline, the declaration of compliance is FP not within two days.
When filling out the form, candidates will also have to provide a personal email address. Through this email or immigrant will receive a confirmation statement that will be amended to the IEFP. After sending, the Institute will study the data provided by the candidate and, within 48 hours, send a statement by email to the immigrant.
After having the document, the immigrant can apply, in the country in which he lives, for a visa that entitles him to live in Portugal for a maximum period of 180 days. Within this period, the professional must find a job in the country, formalized with the signing of a contract between the worker and the company. If not, it is mandatory to leave Portuguese territory.
However, despite the declaration being available, the application in Brazil still cannot be seen. To now europe, VFS Global, the company that holds the concession for issuing documents in the country, highlighted that “there is a lack of regularization in Brazil” and that there is no deadline for this to be done. For now, only existing visas are available.
Officially, the visa and general regularization have already entered into force. However, ordinances with more details, such as the value of the visa application, remain to be published.
