Crime. Police caught two speeders in the canton of Zurich.
The police caught two speeders in the canton of Zurich over the weekend. In one of the two cases, a passenger was breastfeeding her toddler during the excess speed.
A 28-year-old Swiss drove at 146 km/h instead of the permitted 80 km/h on Saturday afternoon in Neftenbach on the Alte Schaffhauserstrasse, as the Zurich cantonal police announced on Monday.
While the driver was passing the control point, he overtook another vehicle despite the ban on overtaking. The man was stopped at the scene and arrested. A breath alcohol test on him is positive. According to the message, the man’s passenger was breastfeeding her toddler during the speeding ride, which was not secured.
The driver will have to answer to the public prosecutor for committing a speeding offence, driving a vehicle while intoxicated and other misdemeanors.
