A Frenchman wins the Lyon International Horse Show
At the “Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix” horse riding competition in Lyon taking place from October 26 to 30, Frenchman Julien Epaillard won his 68th international success of the season achieving the fastest double clear round.
After five intense days of competition, the international horse show held at Eurexpo in Lyon saw the overwhelming victory of French rider Julien Epaillard on Caracole de la Roque, his mount, in the Lyon stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup. For the record, the competition is international and is held each year in different stages including Lyon.
The Normand, 3rd in the world in jumping, won this competition by achieving the fastest double clear round. He edged out Brazilian Marlon Modolo Zanotelli and Dutchman Jur Vrieling, respectively. In the tricolor clan, Pénélope Leprevost riding Bingo Del Tondu took fourth place with a clear round; Simon Delestre riding Cayman Jolly Jumper is seventh with one point overtime.
