Petr Beneš (Pirates): Together, they would like to rule Prague indefinitely

POLITICIANS IN THEIR OWN WORDS A member of the Prague 10 council for the Pirates on his Facebook on October 27 for post-election negotiations
The Czech Pirate Party and PRAHA SOBĚ are proving to each other that it makes sense to put aside mutual quarrels or personal disputes and together represent the will of approximately 33% of Prague’s voters.
And where is STAN Prague? He is voicing TOGETHER for Prague and trying to win the best possible conditions for them!?
It is not possible to let only one party rule. Stable coalitions must be based on partnership and must be balanced:
- TOTAL – 19 mandates -> 5 council members (including the mayor) or with STAN 24 mandates
- Stability Alliance – 24 mandates -> 6 councilors (without mayor)
Why is the majority in the council so crucial vs. post of mayor? If the coalition party of the mayor is to “veto” the decision of his representative through him and present him to the council, thereby guarding the partner. In the same way, for the other coalition party (without the mayor) it is important to influence the decision-making of the council (not to be outvoted), and this is precisely what the majority in the council serves. This is a balanced and stable partnership.
I understand that Spolu would like to rule Prague without limits, but it would be neither fair nor right! Why STAN helps them in this is a mystery to me.
AT PRAGUE 10 – THE GOVERNMENT OF ONE PARTY and there is a TENT again.
Here in Prague 10, the Vlasta Coalition chose the opposite tactic. They couldn’t put aside their mutual antipathies, and because they are currently represented by STAN Prague 10, their representatives signed a coalition agreement with Together for Prague 10 (ODS+TOP09) in an absolutely insane composition!
A total of 14 mandates + 2 defectors – 7 council members (of which the mayor, 1st deputy mayor, 3 deputy mayors, 2 councilors) + all power agencies
Vlasta 10 mandates – 2 council members (deputy mayor for STAN, councilor)
Yes, 7:2! Prague 10 will realistically be ruled by only one entity – Together (ODS + TOP09), with the help of two defectors. And it was STAN who helped them do it again. For a couple of well-paid chairs and a completely undignified role in the coalition, where they will be excused for being scumbags.
Now I would like to appeal to the voters of STAN. Did you really want this? When you decided that after everything that happened to STAN, you put your trust in them, did you want them to help ODS to get unlimited government and the return of the 90s?! Or was the modern and western direction of Prague, which was started by the last Prague coalition, closer to you? Do you agree that STAN does not want to cooperate with Piráty+Praha Sobě and instead helps ODS?
The cooperation of modern liberal parties and movements makes sense! Prague has had a RETRO policy for more than 4 years.
