Eintracht Frankfurt vs Borussia Dortmund: the individual review
Kevin Trap: Not a nice football day for the goalkeeper. Was tunnelled by goal scorer Brandt at 0:1. He couldn’t prevent Bellingham’s 2-1. Didn’t get a chance to make a big difference otherwise. Shared the annoyance of his front men at the Weakness in judgment by referee Stegemann.
tuta: Didn’t do what he should have done. Couldn’t stop Malen at the 0:1 goal preparer and wasn’t up to the 1:2 either. Must bring more calm and overview into his game. His flanks can also be improved.
Kristian Jakic: His effort earned the grade one. Went where it hurt. Blocked a few shots on goal from Dortmund. But he wasn’t there in time for the 1-2 draw against Moukoko.
Evan Ndicka: As the final defender, he couldn’t stop Brandt from scoring and was also tunnelled. Overall solid in his defense work. Held back quite a bit up front in the game.
Junior Dina Ebimbe: You can see his increased self-confidence. Often sought the way forward with a quick start and left his opponents standing. However, it must be more dangerous. And the balance between defense and attack is not always right with him either.
Luca Pellegrini: No man for consistency in the game. Started weak and lost the ball in front of the 0:1. But worked his way into the game in the second half and combined nicely. His crosses and free kicks need to be more targeted.
Daichi Kamada: Was one of the candidates for sale during the transfer period for economic reasons. Now delivering something countable: His goal to make it 1-1 was his eleventh competitive goal this season in three competitions. Brings a special touch to the Eintracht game with his game intelligence and elegance. Conductor at his best.
Sebastian Rode: As always, with impeccable professionalism. Ran and worked. Played a nice pass to Kolo Muani. However, not everything that the captain undertook made sense.
Jesper Lindstrom: Missed the hit to make it 2-2. Should have gotten a penalty after poking Adeyemi just before half-time. War often involved in dangerous actions. However, also lost some balls.
Mario Götze: Another big win. In tandem with Kamada clock for all. Distributed and conquered balls. Brilliant with clever cases. But remained unsuccessful. Schlotterbeck saved his shot on the line.
Randal Kolo Muani: Powerhouse with one big shortcoming: Despite the best chances, the Frenchman was not among the top scorers, especially in the second half. His remarkable lob landed on the goalpost. Always with a train to the opposing goal. But not always with the necessary assertiveness.
Jibril Sau: Replaced Rode. Without game-changing actions.
Luke Alario: May ran for Lindström. He has not yet become a goalscorer in Frankfurt.
Rafael Borre: Came into play for Kamada. The Colombian didn’t have a chance to score either.
