Bohemians vs. Slavia Prague: Preview and betting tips
Slavia Praha played against Bohemians in Ďolíček as part of their Sunday program of the 14th round of the Fortuna League. In the end, they beat their opponent 4:1, but the match also brought two very questionable moments. How did Slavia coach Jindřich Trpišovský evaluate this duel?
Third Prague derby and for the third time it’s a win. In the 14th round of our top competition, the players of Slavia Praha played against Bohemians Praha 1905, with the final score being 4:1.
However, the Slavists played first when Roman Květ scored in the second minute. However, Peter Olayinka equalized a minute later, for whom it was the jubilee 100th match in the shirt of Slavia Prague.
“It wasn’t easy, we were losing 0:1 from the first situation, Květ scored beautifully from the first shot from the deflected ball. It was difficult for us to enter the match, but the team reacted brilliantly, we equalized immediately, we had a lot of other scoring opportunities.” said Trpišovský v post-match interview.
Slavia’s coach also said that he was happy with all three victories in the Prague derby. Both from the match with Dukla in the MOL Cup, and after the wins with Sparta and now Bohemians. At the same time, he praised his stoppers.
“Honestly out of all three. Two of them were away derbies, one at home. I will also digress to praise our hitters, who pull it together without the possibility of rest. They go through a lot of fights, Taras continued his good performance from Thursday. It is not easy for them, there is no other option for a stopper now.
However, the Vršovice derby was greatly influenced by the VAR decision. In the 28th minute, defensive tackle Daniel Krch, together with Antonín Křapka, passed to forward Václav Jurečka. He subsequently fell to the ground and referee Klíma pointed the kick at the main Tomáš.
However, the head referee then ran to look at the video, judging this intervention as a mistake and blowing the whistle for a penalty. Then the attacker Václav Jureček converted.
It was precisely because of this moment that the VAR system did not show itself in the ideal light, because only a few minutes earlier the green and whites demanded a penalty after Jakub Hromada’s contact with Erik Prekop.
However, Klíma did not find Hromad’s intervention illegal, so I continued. Slavia’s coach commented on the VAR situation after the match.
“In general, I don’t like the way things are going here. Abroad, calls are made for clear misconduct, a clear situation. There was great football and a game played here, instead every five minutes it is not played after situations that are not obvious.” admits Trpišovský.
“Video people get into it at all costs, then it’s reviewed for a long time, it’s not played, it doesn’t get into the emotions that put people under pressure. Many times it is difficult to judge on the video, even the thrusts, if the hand was there, how much it pushed into him, if it was a little or a lot. These are not today’s situations, I’m speaking in general, but in general I would like to appeal to us to enter the matches only when things are clear-cut,” he added.
Three points, but Pilsen still has a game to go
Slavia then added two more goals in the second half. Olayinka scored again, and Ondřej Lingr also entered the successful shooting statistics. It should be noted that the Vršovice derby could have ended with an even bigger goal difference.
The Slavists wasted their next chances, in the 82nd minute, Lingr also scored. However, the referee disallowed his goal due to offside.
Sišivani have thus consolidated their second position in the league table and are four points behind Viktoria Plzeň. However, she has a good match with Brno.
“I honestly don’t see this at all. I know that Pilsen won, but we are in a situation where we have to look at ourselves and manage our matches. We have a diverse program, we have to stabilize some things,” explained Trpišovský.
