ANO offered TOGETHER support for the minority government in Prague. The Pirates and Prague want to discuss the budget with him — ČT24 — Czech Television
According to Prague’s ANO, it would currently be appropriate for a minority council to be established. “Because by currently dragging out the post-election negotiations, there is a risk that the current council without a mandate will continue to decide on a whole range of concept prints in Prague or start completely new projects for which it does not have a political mandate. We are coming with an offer of bigger election winners, namely to start negotiations on expressing potential support for the city’s minority group,” said representatives of ANO v.
Pirates and Prague wrote to each other TOGETHER: “In this situation, we consider the only realistic way to introduce a democratic functional leadership of Prague, for our parties to meet at a joint meeting without further preliminary requirements and try to find an arrangement in a factual debate that enables the presentation of a coalition of democratic parties, which will agree on a program for the development of Prague for the following period and which will operate mechanisms enabling balanced cooperation.”
One of the main topics is to be the negotiation of Prague’s budget. “Given that no investment actions may be launched in the provisional budget, such a situation would have far-reaching consequences. In the current context of the macroeconomic situation, this would be an irresponsible gamble,” the statement reads.
Coalition negotiations began in Prague immediately after the elections on Sunday, October 2, when Pirates, Praha Sobě and STAN met in the afternoon and TOGETHER with STAN in the evening. Since then, it has happened that the Pirates have TOGETHER, which also dealt with ANO. Pirates and STAN again asked to bring Prague to the negotiations, which TOGETHER refuses.
