Zelenskyy awarded Prague with the honorary title City-Saviour

Kyiv – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi today granted On the day of the Czech national holiday, Prague was awarded the honorary title of City-Saviour, for helping Ukrainians and Ukraine. The former Ukrainian ambassador in Prague, Jevhen Perebyjnis, who is now Ukraine’s deputy minister abroad, reported on the president’s decree on social networks. “Congratulations, Zlatá Praho, thank you very much,” he wrote diplomat.
“For the demonstrated humanism, mercy and solidarity with the Ukrainian people, all-round assistance to the citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave their homeland as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as for the strong support of Ukraine in the defense of its independence and sovereignty, I order to award the city of Prague (Czech Republic ) the honorary title of City-saviour,” the president’s decree states.
The Ukrainian media emphasize that Prague has been one of Kyiv’s biggest allies since the beginning of the Russian invasion; Czech aid to Ukraine is calculated in tens of billions of crowns.
A new postage stamp “We are together” was presented in Kyiv today, which is supposed to symbolize the friendship and partnership between the Czech Republic and Ukraine, informed Ukrainian Embassy in Prague.
