Precarious dockers in Genoa, the labor unions do not sign the agreement
Genoa – The dispute involving 77 precarious workers in the port of Genoa continues. During the week, a meeting was held in the Port System Authority which saw the presence of all those involved, the trade unions of the administered Nidil Cgil Felsa Cisl Uiltemp Uil and of the Filt Cgil Fit Cisl Uiltrasporti transports and also a very large delegation of workers.
The solutions proposed to give stable employment to the precarious who for years have lent their activity between the docks of the indicted of the administered to remain to be not very fruitful. The hypothesis of agreement that Nidil Cgil Felsa Cisl and Uiltemp Uil received from this meeting is not satisfactory and has not been signed.
Trade unions for temporary workers must support total stabilization for workers, but the solutions proposed by the Port Authority “raise more than one perplexity” because the hypothesis of an agreement offers too many ways out to the counterparties in the event that the indicated paths were not followed.
Therefore, although we appreciate the efforts made to find solutions, it is inevitable that the comparison will have a sequel. Nidil Cgil Felsa Cis Uiltemp Uil therefore urgently owes the Port System Authority a new meeting that will better define the actions to protect the summoned and with them safeguard the work on the docks.
