According to those made public by the Prosecutor’s Office, in Stoianoglo’s diaries, administered as evidence, “multiple personal statements made by her were established, according to which on the days they were made, usually at 3:00 p.m., she had scheduled regular meetings with Platon, after the meetings he had with the prosecutors investigating the files regarding Platon or in which he was interested”.
These circumstances are proven by other documents, but also by the statements of the witnesses, who are to be heard during the court hearings.
“The suspended general prosecutor, Alexandr Stoianoglo, through unique actions in the history of the Republic of Moldova, made use of the right to submit an application for the release from detention of the convicted Veaceslav Platon, neglecting the fact that the latter, in addition to being a convicted person in the revision procedure, holds the status . defendant in several criminal cases pending in the courts in which he risks or is punished exclusively with imprisonment.
Therefore, this release of Platon from prison allowed him to leave the territory of the Republic of Moldova, while he was listed in several criminal files, and allowed him to remain a fugitive at large until now,” PA writes.
The first court hearing in the case in which Alexandr Stoianoglo is accused of abuse of office, passive corruption and false declarations, will take place on October 31. The meeting will take place at the Buiucani Court.
Along with Alexandr Stoianoglo, PCCOCS prosecutors Elena Ceruța and Dumitru Răileanu are also on the dock, who were indicted for acting together and in agreement with the suspended general prosecutor, in the release of the controversial businessman, Veaceslav Platon, from detention and his illegal resignation. to the prosecution.

Stoianoglo is also accused of passive corruption, manifested by receiving and accepting goods and advantages in any form that are not due to him from Veaceslav Platon, in the amount of 63,233,032.7 lei.
The accusation of forgery in statements is characterized by the intentional failure to include in the declaration of personal interests the fact that his wife, operated with dates of January 5, 2021, is one of the beneficial owners of a company registered in Ukraine.
The criminal case was also sent to court regarding two prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, who are accused of having acted together and in agreement with Stoianoglo, in the illegal release from detention of Platon and the renunciation of the accusation. .
At the same time, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office continues the criminal prosecution of two other criminal cases in which the suspended general prosecutor’s office is concerned and which refers to the abuse of service committed as ex-president of the National Security, Defense and Public Order Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, but also regarding its illicit enrichment.
In December 2021, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office sent to court the file on an indictment, in which Alexandr Stoianoglo is targeted. It’s about going beyond the call of duty. And in June 2022, the file in which Stoianoglo is accused of committing the crime of violating the inviolability of the personal life of Viorel Morari, former chief prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, reached the magistrates’ table.
