Football – Hanover – Leitl will “mobilize everything again”: criticism of Kreuzer – Sport
Hannover (dpa / lni) – Coach Stefan Leitl from Hannover 96 will expand his team’s track record against Karlsruher SC. “That’s the clear goal,” said the 45-year-old coach on Friday before KSC’s guest appearance, who hasn’t won at Lower Saxony for 34 years. In the final stretch of the first half of the season with four games in twelve days before the long World Cup break, he and his team will “finally mobilize everything to get a lot more points,” stressed the football coach.
However, he assumes that the Badeners, who are four points and five places behind the home side, will put up considerable resistance in the end despite their three defeats. They have “a grown team”, Leitl praised the opponent. “The KSC played a very good ball in many games – with the best that you have seen in the 2nd division, also in the processes,” judged the 96 coach appreciatively.
He expects Julian Börner (shoulder problems cured) to be available again on Sunday (1.30 p.m. / Sky). “If nothing else happens before the match day, then he will also play,” said Leitl. However, he left open whether the 31-year-old veteran WILL appear as the boss of a three- or four-man chain. “We’ll see.”
The fact that KSC sports director Oliver Kreuzer (“If you get another key player up front, you can get promoted”) shortly before the party in a talk about the 96 statements, triggered by Leitl’s incomprehension. “Olli didn’t say anything bad, but I’m concerned about the timing. I don’t know if the Badische Zeitung will invite me three days before the game in Karlsruhe and I’ll be there for the talk and talk about KSC,” he criticized. “They would do well to do their own business and not talk about us.”
