took place near Place Esquirol and Place du Capitole. Both times happened at a busy time. Two men were stabbed. The town hall claims to take the problem seriously and specifies that controls on the carrying of knives have intensified in recent days.

Emilion Esnault, deputy mayor of Toulouse in charge of security, notes a national upsurge in stabbings these last months. “Toulouse is unfortunately not immune to this form of violence. We are very mobilized on this subject. For several days, at my request, the municipal police and the national police have been carrying out reported operations aimed at combating the carrying of weapons and the carrying of bladed weapons. So we try to prevent this kind of phenomenon”.

The security assistant specifies that violent individuals are regularly arrested shortly after their misdeed thanks to the city’s video surveillance cameras. In the middle of the week in the Saint-Pierre district, following a report, a man was arrested with a brass knuckles in his possession. It was the images of the cameras that made it possible to find him.
