26 degrees! It’s getting really warm again in Austria – weather
In the coming days, the weather in Austria will be at its best. The temperatures rise up to 26 degrees. The details.
The “Zacharias” high finally prevails on Thursday and ensures extremely calm weather, especially in the lowlands of the eastern half, which is prone to fog. With the relocation of the high center to south-eastern Europe, the Alpine region is increasingly exposed to a south-westerly high-level current and thus remains significantly too warm for the time of year.
Of the Thursday brings calm and often sunny autumn weather, local fog patches dissipate in the morning. The fog is only a little more stubborn in a few places, most likely in the Upper Austrian lake district and in the Waldviertel. On the mountains, bright sunshine dominates from morning to night, especially in the west there are a few thin veil clouds in the sky. With mostly only weak wind, the air warms up to 16 to 22 degrees with the highest values in Vorarlberg.
Am Friday the calm autumn weather continues, but away from the Alps fog and high fog are getting burned off and become more persistent. Especially in the north-east, the cloudy gray even persists throughout the day in some areas, with occasional drizzle. In contrast, the fog fields in the valleys and the southern areas of the basin shine in the morning and the sunshine dominates alongside harmless veil clouds. Depending on the fog and sun, the maximum values are between 13 degrees in the northeast and 24 degrees in the west.
26 degrees at the weekend
Also the Saturday started in the Danube region, in the eastern lowlands and in the southern lowlands with fog and high fog, but otherwise already sunny. Especially in the far north-east the clouds will remain tenacious until after noon, away from them high cloud fields will pass through, but it will remain dry. The wind blows at most in the east weak to moderate from southern directions. The maximum values: 13 degrees in the northeast to 25 degrees from Vorarlberg to Salzburg, especially at medium altitudes it gets mild.
Am Sunday hardly anything changes in the weather. In the morning, fog and high fog persists in the classic valley and basin areas as well as in the north and east, while the sun also increasingly shines through here during the day. It is most likely to remain gray all day in the north-east, but at medium and higher altitudes the day will generally show its bright side again. At the end of October it will be extremely warm, the maximum values are between 13 degrees in fog and 26 degrees in the sun on the eastern edge of the Alps.
