Thursday launch of the 1st world praline championship
More than a Lyonnais pride, the pink praline will have the right to its first world championship from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 October, at Marcy l’Etoile.
The world premiere of the rose praline will begin this Thursday, October 27, within the gastronomy CFA at the Château du Parc de Lacroix-Laval, in Marcy l’Étoile in the Lyon Metropolis. A pink weekend
This first edition, which takes place over four days, is aimed at “craftsmen, apprentices, but also all amateur pastry chefs“. After passing the pre-selection phases last September, the 30 finalists, divided into 10 categories, will have to present their achievements to the jury on Thursday, October 27, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The praline must be presented under three different forms, like a bakery product, with a brioche, like a pastry product with a pie, then as an original culinary creation.The tasting of the dishes by the members of the jury will follow between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., without the presence of the The three best candidates in each category will be rewarded on stage.
Then will follow three days of festivities around the praline, free and open to all, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 October. Visitors will prefer the pink candy and learn about its history through an exhibition. 40 exhibitors will present their productions and creations around the pink praline.
