Sakellaropoulou: The PtD is in Thessaloniki for the celebrations of Saint Demetrius and October 28
The President of the Republic will travel to Thessaloniki, Katerina Sakellaropouloufrom October 26 to 28.
Mrs. Sakellaropoulou will be in her hometown, in order to attend the events for the triple celebration of the patron Saint Demetrius, as well as the anniversaries of the liberation of the city and October 28, 1940.
In particular, on Wednesday, October 26, the PtD will perform, at 11:30, at the doxology in the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios and immediately after, at 12:05, which was transferred to the exhibition in the Rotunda “Thessalonica 1922: Monuments and Refugees”.
At 1:30 p.m. he will attend a lunch at the Thessaloniki Guard Officers’ Club and in the afternoon at 6:30 p.m. he will go to the celebration ceremony of the patron saint of Thessaloniki, Saint Demetrius, the 110th anniversary of the liberation of the city and the epic of ’40 at Aristotle University. Finally, in the evening at 21:00 it will go to a reception at the Town Hall.
The following day, Thursday, October 27, the President of the Republic who has a meeting in the morning, at 9:45, with the governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, and then, at 11:00, she will attend the ceremony of the Swearing in of Officers at the Military Officer Corps School.
At 13:00, Ms. Sakellaropoulou will complete the Municipal Art Gallery of Thessaloniki-Casa Bianca and in the afternoon, at 18:00, at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, where an event will be held to celebrate its 40 years of operation.
Immediately after, at 21:00, he will watch the monumental work of Mikis Theodorakis “Axion Esti” by the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
On Friday, October 28, the day of the National Anniversary, the President of the Republic will lay a wreath at 10:30 a.m. to the Hero of the 3rd Army Corps, followed by the large military parade on Megalo Alexandrou Avenue.
