Channel 10D will be freed up in Prague for a few hours, the ČRa DAB+ multiplex from Strahov will be shut down
České Radiokomunikace has scheduled a maintenance break for this week on the transmitters that broadcast the signal of the Czech radio multiplex DAB+, i.e. the network of this operator, not Czech Radio. Prague’s Strahov on channel 10D will be the first to go silent on Tuesday, October 25 at 10 a.m., followed by other quotes on Thursday, October 27.
The shutdown of the CRa DAB+ multiplex, which will take place between ten and fifteen o’clock, is interesting not because the distribution of this network will be interrupted, but because of the temporary release of channel 10D. Those interested in remote reception, who are normally within range of the signal on this frequency block, can test whether a more distant multiplex will appear here. One tip can be, for example, the DAB+ Freiberg network.
From the listener’s point of view, the interruption of the broadcast on channel 10D is practically insignificant. Strahov spreads the signal of the CRa DAB+ multiplex with very little power, and the coverage of the capital itself is a problem. For this reason, this network was previously coordinated on channel 7A from the transmitter Prague – Žižkov. This quota will also be silent, but during the night hours, on Thursday, October 27, between one and five o’clock, as well as Pilsen – Košutka and Ostrava – Hošťálkovice. Strahov will also be banned again.
