Prague 22 has a new management from Wednesday. The coalition of ODS, KDU-ČSL, ANO and DvacetDvojka and Svobodní has a majority of 15 votes in the twenty-five-member council. The mayor is Tomáš Kaněra from the ANO movement. What are the plans and priorities of the new district leadership?
“We have a bad winter ahead of us due to expensive energy, we have to replace the kindergarten in Pitkovice after the collapse of the supplier and others. However, I am pleased that I received the trust of both the voters and my colleagues for the solution,” said Kaněra, who will keep the property of the municipality, the Uhříněveský zpravodaj and Agenda 21 safe.
For the ANO Movement, Prague 22 councilor Miroslav Roth is responsible for finances, grant titles and funds. Martin Langmajer as 1st deputy mayor and Daniel Smutek as unvacated councilor, both for ODS, were also elected to the council.
Langmajer will be in charge of investments and territorial development. “In these difficult times, when public money will be less than before, it is particularly important that the city district develops in accordance with the interests of all citizens of Prague 22,” said Langmajer. Mourning will be in charge of healthcare and social policy.

“Ensuring enough school places is the main challenge of this election period in Prague 22. But even in difficult times, one cannot forget culture and associational life, that is the spice of civic life,” she said.
