VIDEO: Strkanica on stage. The fight for the UFC and the game of nerves. How will the fighter from Prague fare?
A moment of tension, then a push.PHOTO: I agree with David Vyvažil
There’s a lot at stake, the finals of the pyramid and a UFC contract are at stake. Add to that the personal side, the rivalry, and the pre-fight staredown can be a thick atmosphere. Lu Kai, a Chinese MMA fighter who trains in Prague’s RPG gym, also experienced this a few hours ago in Abu Dhabi.
“Yes, it’s a bit personal. After all, he beat Lukáš’s friend, so he wants to give it back to him. But it’s within limits, no hatred, rather the desire and determination to perform well,” coach David Vyvázil is convinced.
Lu Kai was selected for the Asian group, which is fighting for a contract in the American UFC organization in the elimination fights.
In June, Lu Kai defeated an opponent from Indonesia, now he has a rival from Korea. And now it’s about the finals, where it will be about a contract with the UFC.
“Last week, he behaved quite arrogantly, so I’m really looking forward to the cage to make him smile a little bit. In Singapore, he finished my friend in the first round, I take it as a bit of revenge. But everything will be seen when the match starts, I’m ready for anything,” Lu Kai is now in a fighting mood, which was also seen during the staredown.
Lu Kai came with an opponent on the stage, his rival king from the other side. They stood in front of each other. A few seconds of looking into each other’s eyes, “Lukáš” then appeared in front of the cameras, photographed and posed. But then the Korean pushed him away and Lu Kai motioned him a hanger. In the end, the promoter preferred to calm them down a bit. The envoy from Bohemia then hit his chest hard, gave himself strength, and both went their separate ways.
Now they will meet in the cage on Sunday. Who will advance to the finals, who will be closer to their dream?
