The elected officials of the Grand Calais Terres et Mers agglomeration yesterday voted to validate the PCAET, the Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan.
Priscilla Vandeville’s explanations:
This Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan drawn up by the agglomeration brings together the actions that will make it possible to fight against climate change within 6 years.
This plan has 5 axes: achieving and promoting sustainable mobility, protecting and improving the quality of life of residents in the face of climate change, reducing the energy bill and dependence on fossil fuels by controlling consumption and developing renewable energies, preserving the nature and resources, support and cooperate with the actors of the territory. These areas include 21 strategic orientations broken down into 54 measures and grouping more than 160 actions.
The objectives are ambitious and coherent, in particular to reduce energy consumption compared to 2012 by 19% in 2030 and by 46% in 2050. But also to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 38% in 2030 and by 89% in 2050.
Elected officials also voted to extend the support system for the installation of new doctors in certain specialties. We will come back to this soon on RADIO 6.
At the start of the council, the elected officials paid tribute to François le Gall, the mayor of Saint-Tricat and community councilor who died on October 1st. They observed a minute of silence.
