22.10. -Prague Airport will offer another direct connection for warmth and exoticism during the winter season. The carrier SalamAir will fly from Prague to Oman twice a week. Beautiful beaches, breathtaking mountains and deserts, waterfalls, modern cities and history. All this awaits travelers in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, and in Salalah, located in the Dhofar province on the Arabian Sea. Connections to both cities will be provided by modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.
“The connection from the Czech Republic to Salalah in Oman clearly has tourist potential. However, in the case of direct lines to Muscat, we are also looking at the business potential and also the possibility of transgressions to more distant destinations in the Middle East and Asia. We expect that SalamAir could transport up to nine thousand passengers in one direction between Oman and the Czech Republic during the winter and summer season. So far, destinations in Oman have been served from Prague mostly by seasonal charter lines,” said Jaroslav Filip, director of aviation business at Prague Airport.
SalamAir will operate two scheduled routes to Oman from October 21. It will fly from Prague to Muscat every Wednesday and to Salalah every Friday. The flight from Prague to Muscat will take approximately six hours and fifteen minutes, the flight to Salála will take an hour longer.
“We consider our airline’s start of flights from Prague to Muscat and Salalah to be an important milestone. The new connection creates an excellent opportunity for Czechs to explore Oman and visit other destinations. The capital of Oman, Muscat, is extraordinarily beautiful, an oasis of history and culture surrounded by sea, mountains and desert. Muscat is an important center of trade, economic activities and is burdened by the administrative center of Oman. We are also looking forward to tourists from Prague in picturesque Salále. SalamAir wants to open all routes to different markets, enable travel, trade and at the same time create opportunities for the new traveler who wants to get to know and experience an unforgettable vacation,” said Captain and CEO of SalamAir Mohamed Ahmed.
