Prague 4 opened a multifunctional sports field | PRAGUE 4 | News
What about the children, do they have a place to play? The answer to this question is yes. At least the children from the Primary School at Chodovec in Prague 4 – Záběhlice. The town hall of Prague’s fourth district had the old playground repaired and expanded the area with additional sports grounds not only for physical education classes, but also for other leisure activities for children and adults from the general public. The new physical education complex really has something concrete.
“We have added two new playgrounds. One is for beach volleyball, the other is multifunctional for ball games such as basketball or volleyball. We have also added a running track and a sports field for long jumps,” revealed the director of Na Chodovci Elementary School in Prague 4 – Záběhlice, Miloslav Ráž.
The town hall of Prague 4 was awarded a sports field for 5 million 300 thousand crowns.
“It’s also good from the point of view of safety for the children. They don’t have to go to another sports field outside the school grounds. And at the same time, it enables intensive physical education classes, because the movements are limited. This means that the children have more pure time for the exercises themselves,” added the director Rage.
“We are constantly repairing all the playgrounds in Prague 4, I can name, for example, the playground at Krčského lesa, which we completed recently, or the playground at the Ohradní Elementary School and others”, reminded Filip Vácha, councilor of the Municipal District of Prague 4 for investments.
Prague 4 City Hall also expanded the school’s capacity by one whole floor. These are places for 180 other pupils. And they will have a more pleasant working environment thanks to the 4th Prague district and the policemen from the office in Záběhlice. She also had the entire building, which is rented by the Czech police, repaired.
“From wiring, from sewerage, to the roof. It cost us 21,300,000 crowns without value added tax. Subsidies from the Capital City of Prague were also involved,” said the councilor.
The original building no longer met any of today’s standards. There are new approaches to the building, new offices as well as changing rooms and even police cells. The reconstruction took place in two stages during operation.
