The two teams that traveled and represented the Kniksen Academy were born in 2009 and 2010, and there were a total of over 30 players. The tournament was played in Esbjerg in Denmark, and the best Danish teams participated.
For the team born in 2010, it was a win, three draws, a loss and a sixth place overall. The 2009 team won the entire tournament, winning five and losing two. In the final, they won after a score just before the end.
Since the Kniksen Academy started early this year, they have had teams at tournaments both in Oslo and in Hamar. The Kniksen Academy is an extra offer for young footballers aged 9-15, with the aim of strengthening talent development throughout the region.
Through the Kniksen Academy, players must get both local, national and international references for where the level is at the best in their age group. The tournament in Denmark was the first foreign tournament, and next year they will go to Riga and Barcelona, among other places.
A total of 17 local clubs were represented on the two teams that traveled to Denmark. Here is a list of all of them:
