Fans of the Canadian punk band PUP still remember well their sold-out concert in 2019 at Café V lese. Now their unbridled energy will engulf Prague’s Rock Café on October 30 as part of the Rock for People Concerts series, where they are heading with their new record “The Unraveling of PUPTheBand” from April this year.
These four guys from Toronto are at home on stage and their concerts promise to be one of the most honest rock’n’roll shows you’ll ever see. The American indie-rock group Pom Pom Squad will perform as support at the Prague concert. Tickets are on sale in the GoOut network.
PUP gave their first concert in Prague in 2018 as support for Frank Turner at the Roxy. The Czech audience was immediately interested, and then at Café V lese they presented their third album Morbid Stuff in sequence, and sold out their headline show. The group around frontman Stefan Babcock finds humor in the darkest corners of the human mind – their songs may be full of thoughts of suicide, but PUP knows how to turn them around in a situation where you can’t help but laugh. The band has found a unique way to fight the dark aspects of life and in many cases they even have therapeutic effects.
Now PUP returns to Prague with a new album and full of energy to serve their fans a real show and show that Punk Is Not Dead! Live, this band simply works without a doubt, there will be no shortage of stagediving, pogo or jumping as high as the ceiling of the Rock Café will allow.
