The mayor of Prague 22 is again Kaněra from ANO

Tomáš Kaněra (ANO) became the mayor of Prague 22, which includes, for example, Uhříněves. The representatives of the city district decided on it today. Kaněra is provided by 14 of the 24 representatives present. He became mayor for the first time in June 2021. The parties and movements ODS, KDU-ČSL, ANO and DvacetDvojka and Svobodní agreed on a coalition. In the council with 25 members, the coalition has a majority of 15 votes. The STAN movement won the elections in Uhříněvs, but ended up in the opposition.

“It is not and will not be an easy job. We have a bad winter ahead of us due to expensive energy, we have to replace the kindergarten in Pitkovice after the collapse of the supplier and others. But I am pleased that I received the trust of both the voters and my colleagues for the solution,” said Kaněra.
He will be in charge, among other things, of the security or property of the municipal district. In his candidate’s speech, he stated that “he is able to make decisions and at the same time he knows how to negotiate with others.” He also thanked his predecessors for their work.
The representatives also elected deputy mayors, who became Martin Langmajer (ODS), who will deal with investments and territorial development, and Hana Vagenknechtová (DvacetDvojka) who take care of education, culture and associations. Martin Turnovský (DvacetDvojka), Miroslav Roth (ANO), Daniel Smutek (ODS) and Jan Konopásek (Svobodní) were then elected councilors.
The STAN movement won the municipal elections in Prague 22, winning six mandates in the council, which has 25 members. ANO finished second with five mandates, and DvacetDvojka + Svobodní, which has five representatives, is third.
The Fourth Together for Prague 22, which was created by the merger of the local ODS and KDU-ČSL, has five mandates. Civic candidate 22, which finished in fifth place, has two representatives, and Praha 22. Our city is sixth. he also won two mandates.
