The new government at the town hall in Prague 6 is about to fall. This confirmed information from PrahaIN.cz, according to which the ODS coalition with the KDU-ČSL, together with Prague 6 itself and the STAN movement, will lead the city district in the next four years. The coalition agreement is to be signed today at 4:30 p.m. And the opposition will also get its share.
The recently published information about the post-election agreement between the joint candidate of the ODS and KDU-ČSL with the Prague 6 Self movement and STAN with the support of the Greens has been confirmed. In just a few hours, the coalition agreement on the new leadership of the Prague 6 Municipal District for the next four years will be officially signed.
Old man mayor
“I can confirm that the coalition agreement will be signed in the afternoon, which, in addition to program priorities, will also determine specific personnel related to the future composition of the district council,” said PrahaIN.cz, the current deputy mayor of Prague 6 and leader of the winning dual coalition, Jakub Stárek (ODS).
although he himself did not want to confirm it before signing the coalition agreement, according to the newsroom, he should take the mayor’s seat, where he will replace Ondřej Kolář from TOP 09. At the moment, she is heading to the opposition together with the Pirates, the ANO movement and two representatives of the joint candidate Trikolora and SPD with independent candidates.
The opposition gains control
On the basis of the coalition agreement, which we will present in full soon after its official signing, the above-mentioned opposition entities will also get their share. “Part of our coalition agreement is also a promise to the opposition, which will receive the contribution of the chairman of the control committee and will also have a majority of members in it. In general, we like the opposition, we would like to participate in the committees and commissions in the city district,” explained Stárek when asked by PrahaIN.cz, adding that, overall, there will be a decrease of 6 people in committees and committees in Prague.
Priority opposition in the coalition agreement
In the waters of municipal politics, Prague’s unprecedented inclusion of the program points of the opposition parties in the coalition agreement is a step. “Each of the opposition clubs could set their own program priorities, which will be part of the coalition agreement,” confirmed Stárek. For example, according to information from PrahaIN.cz, the ANO movement applied the priority of the Osa rosévy vrch project, while the Piráts prioritized the creation of a contact point for housing.
While both mentioned clubs took the coalition’s offer as a positive gesture, outgoing mayor Ondřej Kolář on your FB to the TOP 09 priority processing offer, deliver rather confrontationally.
Criticism of the outgoing mayor
“You already know that Topka is joining the opposition in Prague 6, it’s nothing secret. But the winner of the election wrote to us that he wants to know our program priorities so that he can write them in his program statement. We are glad that the election winners have discovered that their programs are bad and need something proper. That it will do us no good at all? Of course he won’t. For example, through transparent selection procedures for a managerial position in SNEO, they would deprive themselves of the opportunity to distribute political newsagents. And that there will be,” said Kolář in a post from last week. Probable mayor Jakub Stárek did not want to comment on it, saying that it was just “bitterness” caused by leaving the opposition benches.
