Pas-de-Calais: a garbage truck ends up in a house: two injured

A surreal scene occurred this Monday, October 17, 2022 at Isberguesin the Pas de Calais. UN garbage truck crashed into a house, two injuries are to be deplored. The driver reportedly felt ill at the wheel.
An inhabitant, unscathed, relocated
The accident took place this morning at 8:30 am at 529 rue du Marais. While doing his daily rounds, a garbage truck hit a house. According to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis), two victims were incarcerated in the vehicle.
Many firefighters were mobilized to help them. After long minutes of intervention, they managed to reach the two men. The 62-year-old driver reportedly felt ill at the wheel. Wounded, he was taken to the Helfaut hospital center.
The passenger, a 55-year-old man, was transferred to the Divion polyclinic. A third person was on board the truck but escaped unscathed. The resident of the house, unharmed, was relocated by the town hall of Isbergues.
