42-year-old from Hanover found seriously injured in Celle

Celle. A walker found a seriously injured man from Hanover on Lauensteinplatz in Celle on the night of Saturday, October 15th. The passer-by discovered the 42-year-old around 0.40 a.m. in front of a bakery. How the man got from Hanover to Celle is completely unclear. However, the police assume that he was the victim of an act of violence.

According to the police, the 42-year-old homeless person was in need of help, disoriented and had a swollen eye. The walker dialed 911 and the man was taken to the hospital. There it turned out that he had suffered a serious head injury and was also heavily intoxicated. The police are currently assuming violence by external influence.
Police are looking for witnesses
The man could not provide any further information on the origin of the head injury, and according to police information he cannot explain how he came from Hanover to Celle. Lauensteinplatz is in a residential area, a 20-minute walk from Celle train station.

The 42-year-old wore a dark sweatshirt and has short hair. The Celle police are asking for information from witnesses who saw the homeless man on Saturday night and who can provide information about what happened. Information is accepted on telephone (05141) 277215.
