United quickly with a clear lead
With the recent success, Hannover United has expelled the specter of Cologne. Both games against the 99ers were lost last season. The strong defense was decisive for the United victory war. Kluck sent Jan Haller, Jan Sadler, Shaun Norris, Alexander Budde and Mariska Beijer onto the floor as the starting five. The United quintet waits on the halfway line and makes things very difficult for the hosts in the build-up game. Cologne took a long time to get into positions and then often had little time on the shot clock. United, on the other hand, made it easy, followed 19:9 after the first quarter.
Cologne approaches again
As a result, Hannover made a few mistakes and failed to gain further ground. On the contrary. In the third quarter, the hosts threw themselves up to four points. United’s Oliver Jantz fought back with four points from the middle. In the final section, the encounter was again on the brink. This time Cologne came close to five points. But United didn’t let anything burn. It remained in the fourth quarter with the four points for Cologne. United add twelve more.
