CAPEB Rhône and Grand Lyon warns of the risk of burnout for craftsmen
Calls from business leaders asking for information in order to stop their activity indicate the confederation.
The CAPEB Rhône and Grand Lyon recently expressed its concern in this new school year, with a growing number of craftsmen in a situation close to burnout. While building craftsmen have always been confronted with stressful situations, both from the point of view of work relations and with customers, and the pressure of deadlines, these are becoming more and more numerous with the shortage of materials (wood, steel, aluminum but also glue, plaster, electrical and plumbing equipment… all trades are now affected by declining stocks) and the extension of supply and delivery never succeeded (with results for an increase in costs that can reach up to + 30%)
Also, on this last point, building companies have found themselves caught between excessive and uncontrollable prices which, being unjustifiable to customers and difficult to report, often require professionals to absorb these increases and thus impact their margins, and construction sites which, unable to be finished within the allotted time, pay late payment compensation.
