The A380 is back in Prague after more than two years. The Emirates plane had to divert to Ruzyne due to restrictions in Munich
After two hours, the plane left for Munich.
An Airbus A380 landed at Prague’s Václav Havel Airport after a more than two-year break. The Emirates aircraft with registration A6-EOE was diverted to Prague exceptionally due to temporary traffic restrictions in Munich, where it was originally headed on the regular route EK49 from Dubai. The aircraft is in an anniversary livery commemorating 50 years since the founding of the United Arab Emirates.
“It was from the closed Munich airport,” said Prague Airport spokeswoman Klára Divíšková. At 16:15 it flew to Munich. The reason for the surprise was the short-term closure of Munich airport due to the emergency landing of a British Airways A319. The progress of the flight can be followed on Flightradar24.com.

The Airbus A380 started flying regularly to Prague in 2016, but was interrupted by the pandemic. The last time the machine was shown at Ruzyna was in March 2020. According to the reservation system, it was originally supposed to return already this month, but in the end it was not planned.
