The extradition for security reasons in the greatest secrecy. The Belgian court did not want to take the risk. The 36-year-old Lommelaar was arrested in February of this year in a luxury flat in Switzerland, where he had been hiding from the Belgian for some time. Bressers still has to serve four years in prison for the kidnapping, kidnapping and assault of the Dutch drug trafficker Johannes W., who was plucked off the street in 2016 after a failed heroin transport. According to the Court of Appeal, the Dutchman was personally attacked by Bressers with a knife.
In recent years, Bressers worked his way up into the world of cocaine smuggling. He is one of the (main) suspects in several drug files that have yet to appear in court. The court in West Flanders, among others, wants to prosecute Bressers in the case of cocaine smuggling via the shady water purification company Kriva Rochem. Messages cracked by the Dutch police in chat service Encrochat showed that smuggling was controlled by one ‘Bongoking’. According to the investigators, Bressers was hiding behind that username.
Locked up in Beveren
The criminal from Lommel is also associated with several Antwerp drug files that started on the crack of the encrypted chat service Sky ECC. He comes into the picture, among other things, in the investigation into the group of men who badly beat up a brand guard while taking out a batch of cocaine on one of the Antwerp fruit quays. The man eventually saw the only way out by diving into the cold dock water and getting to safety. On Friday, Bressers was brought before the investigating judge in Antwerp, it is not clear in which drug file that happened. During the presence of Bressers in the judicial palace in Antwerp, the security at the Bolivarplaats was considerably increased. After his introduction, Bressers was locked up in a cell in the prison of Beveren.
Bressers has been considered one of the undisputed leaders of the cocaine mafia in our country for several years now. According to him, together with the Dutchman ‘Bolle’ Jos L., he is even the most important of all. Over the years, he has been given various nicknames with ‘the tall one’, ‘the university graduate’ or ‘the finger clipper’. ‘The finger clipper’ is the most intriguing of these. He owes that name to a 2015 trial in which he was prosecuted for his role in a punitive expedition. The finger of a Dutch criminal was cut off with pruning shears. Bressers himself was then acquitted, but his nickname has remained.
