Dijon. This Saturday, swim for a good cause at the Fontaine-d’Ouche swimming pool
This Saturday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., swimming at the municipal swimming pool of Fontaine-d’Ouche, in Dijon, will help support access to water for children in Madagascar. The French Swimming Federation and Unicef organize, throughout France, The water challenge.
In Dijon, the event is implemented by the Alliance Dijon Natation. “For the occasion, the Fontaine-d’Ouche swimming pool has been made available to us by the City. The objective is to spend a fun day around aquatic activities and to raise funds for a good cause”, summarizes Emma Quignard, project manager at ADN.
A day open to all
On the program: lengths, course in the small pool, entertainment for young and old, parent-child relay, quiz , photo exhibition… To ensure the smooth running of this Water Challenge, open to all, a dozen volunteers from the Dijon swimming club will be mobilized. Admission will be a donation of €2 per person, and all proceeds (those from the refreshment bar included) will be reversed to Unicef to support water, sanitation and hygiene programs in Madagascar.
On Sunday, the Fontaine-d’Ouche swimming pool will be closed to the public due to the organization of a competition.
