Why do Czechs not understand each other? Take the Prague–Brno train and you will understand

This week, people traveling through the Czechia by rail had to arm themselves with a lot of patience. A derailed freight train in Poříčany blocked and slowed the move to Budapest, Žilina or Warsaw. Photos of people stuck in fields for hours filled social media. At the same time, a number of accompanying comments were not so much angry as resigned. And no wonder. Bearded jokes comparing Czech railways with the Shinkansen have been known for a whole generation. Unfortunately, the situation does not improve and the smile slightly freezes on the lips.
Anyone who had to travel between Bohemia and Moravia this year knew that it would be possible to travel by rail only if they had enough time. The connection between Prague and Brno was complicated for a long time by the necessary repairs and rebuilding of the station in Adamov.
