The exhibition of the Italian artist |. continues in the Lapidarium PRAGUE 1 | News
The Lapidárium Gallery in Prague 1 is an unobtrusive but all the more interesting exhibition space where old and new art meet in one place. There is currently an exhibition of the famous Italian author Giancarlo Moscara.
“Giancarlo Moscara was an outstanding designer and painter who, although he died in 2019, left a significant artistic mark, mainly in the field of experimental painting. In the Lapidárium Gallery, we now have the opportunity to see his unique works and thus have a unique opportunity to look into his work,” explains exhibition curator Marisa Milella.
In addition to the fact that the exhibition presents this important artist from the Italian city of Lecce, the organizers wanted to draw attention to the connection between Italian artists and the Czech capital.
“The Italians influenced many things in Prague, many things with their taste, buildings, architecture. When you walk through Old Prague, you can see many Italian elements and many Italian inspirations,” said Světlana Kalousková – manager of Galerie Lapidárium.
Giancarlo Moscara was known for the fact that, although he himself was very educated, he did not allow himself to be bound by any schools and styles, therefore his work is based on maximum creative freedom.
“Giancarlo Moscara is essentially such a symbol of creative freedom and color. He has a wonderful, truly Italian elegant color,” said Světlana Kalousková – manager of the Lapidárium Gallery.
You can admire Giancarlo Moscara’s work at the Lapidárium Gallery every day except Monday until October 30.
