Maker Faire, Library Nights and original show
This is a notable event: the Maker Faire takes place all weekend long at Saint-Sauveur station. Hundreds of DIY enthusiasts using recycled materials will demonstrate and share their passion with visitors.
Another remarkable highlight, more broadly in the Lille metropolis: The Nights of the Libraries. This Saturday, the 74 participating structures offer special highlights. Extended schedules, shows, conferences… A rich program marks this “life-size” edition.
This Saturday in Arras you will attend an original show. In the giant silo installed on the Grand Place, the Compagnie Les Choses de Rien presents The absolute, by Boris Gibe. Questioning our perception of the world and the relationship between movement and space, the Cthat’s to say combines acrobatic techniques and poetic writing in a unique show that pushes the body to its physical limits… See you at 6 p.m. for the show, which will be performed on other occasions between now and October 21.
Tips and exhibitions
Special sales are coming to the territory this Saturday. Flea markets, toy fairs, sales of plants, books or CDs… It’s an opportunity to find great nuggets for the whole family! We summarize here the sales made in the North and here those organized in the Pas-de-Calais.
The Flanders Museum in Cassel to discover Flemish painting, the Matisse Museum in Cateau-Cambrésis, the La Piscine Museum in Roubaix… There is a wealth of museum material on offer in the area. Most establishments organize guided tours (sometimes themed) on Saturdays.
