Hanover consumes too much gas
HAZ Hannover update: Hannover uses too much gas

Dear readers,
Good morning! Is your heating already on? No? Good – but not art either, Enercity boss Susanna Zapreva might say. It hasn’t been particularly cold this early autumn. Compared to that, Hanover saves far too little gas, Zapreva now warns. That should change as soon as possible.
In the spirit of constructive journalism, in addition to Bernd Haase’s report on Hanover’s high gas consumption, we are also providing you with two texts in today’s update that deal with how you might be able to save energy at home. And one that deals with the concerns of energy-intensive businesses such as bakeries or dry cleaners.
Quote of the day comes in celebration from the same HAZ groundsman. He celebrated his 20th birthday on Tuesday evening in the pavilion with a grandiose anniversary show. For 20 years, Bruno Brauer and Uwe Janssen have satirically poked fun at everything that happens around Hannover 96, week after week. And anyone who has ever tried to be funny in the newspaper or somewhere else cannot bow low enough to the quiet and loud comedy that the two distil out of this, meanwhile, second division team week after week.
That’s why someone who hasn’t published in the HAZ for a long time congratulated his birthday: Heiko Rehberg was HAZ editor for 27 years and many of them head of sports. As if he helped launch the groundskeeper in 2002. After that, Rehberg was Head of Communications at Hannover 96 for a few years and therefore knows how to find the impertinence of the groundskeeper there. You can also find his tribute in today’s update.
Come well and warm through this hopefully not too shady Thursday!
Greetings from the HAZ newsroom,
Her Felix Harbart
deputy HAZ editor-in-chief
