Denzel brings electric cars from BYD to Austria
When BYD presented the European plans in August, negotiations were still ongoing with an importer for Austria. Now it’s fixed: The Denzel Group will bring BYD to Austria.
Denzel is now starting to set up the Austria-wide BYD dealer network and will start selling BYD cars in the fourth quarter of 2022. The first cars will then from the beginning of 2023 be available with us.
Incidentally, the Denzel Group plans to open a so-called BYD Pioneer Store in Vienna in December 2022 in addition to the showrooms of the authorized dealers.
The three fully electric models that BYD is bringing to Europe for the time being will be available in Austria. These are the Atto 3 (>>>driving report), a compact SUV for the C segment with a range of 420 kilometers. This will also include the luxury sedan Han (>>>driving report) with a range of 520 kilometers and the 7-seater SUV Tan with a range of 400 km will be on offer.
The exact prices for Austria are not yet known, the Atto 3 will be available for around 38,000 euros, the Tan and Han are in the range of 72,000 euros.
Hansjörg Mayr, member of the Board of Directors of the Denzel Group: “It is an exciting partnership that fits perfectly with our sustainability goals. We will score points with good availability right from the market launch. The development of a highly qualified dealer network will also start quickly.”
Michael Shu, General Manager and Managing Director, BYD Europe and International Cooperation Division: “We are delighted to start our BYD road trip in Austria with such an experienced partner as the Denzel Group. Denzel Group’s reputation and resources will enable BYD to quickly promote the BYD brand in Austria and together provide a high level of local customer service.”
