Classical music concerts in Prague 10
The Cultural Autumn will be marked by classical music at Desítka. Three chamber concerts will gradually be created in the Vršovice castle. The town hall prepared them in cooperation with the International Music Festival Tones over the Cities, which will have its premiere in Prague 10. Entry is free for locals.
The concerts will take place on October 20, November 3 and 24 from 6 p.m., and each resident of Desítka can pick up up to two “free passes” at the town hall info center, which will be issued to them in exchange for an identity card.
“We want to make the events accessible to the general public, anyone from Prague 10 is entitled to a free ticket. The interest is really great, tickets for the first concert were sold out within the first days. Tickets for the other two will gradually become available again,” explains Jana Komrsková (Pirates), deputy mayor of Prague 10 Municipal Council for culture.
“In our festival, we include both the location where the festival has already taken place, as well as new cities and new Prague districts. I am very happy that this year we found a partner for the first time at the Prague 10 Town Hall,” says Jiří Zákostelský, director of Tones over Cities. The top ten were thus ranked alongside four other Prague districts and Děčín. “I believe that listeners will enjoy serious music performed by top performers, and that we will return to Vršovice in a year,” adds Jiří Zákostelský.
Already in October, the start of the concert trefoil promises an exceptional cultural experience. The mezzo-soprano (and opera singer) Edita Randová and the pianist Stanislav Bogunia, who is also a conductor, choirmaster and music teacher, will take care of it.
A rich concert menu will also be served in the November dates, and there will be foreign artists as well. On November 3, the Italian Duo di Perugia, composed of violinists Patricia Scarponi and pianist Giuseppe Pelli, will perform. On November 24, the Edita Randová Trio will spread musical joy – the mezzo-soprano will be accompanied by Stania Ramešová on the harp and Štěpán Pražák on the violin.
Tickets for the second concert will be available at the info center from October 24, and for the third from November 14. Formal attire is recommended for the event, the capacity of the hall is 50 listeners in all cases.
