The Prague Symphony Orchestra’s children’s programs will be dominated by the enchantress Hudba
The Prague Symphony Orchestra will present a popular program for children from the series Orchestra na dotek. In the new season, it received a completely new treatment, which was taken up by the experienced dramaturg Jiří Chalupa, the author of the popular Jůhelák.
The first of four meetings will show the children the enchantress Hudba how she can tell about the place they know best – home. The show will be hosted by new characters, in which Johana Schmidtmajerová and Marek Němec will introduce themselves. The musical morning will be conducted by Jan Kučera as usual. The concert will take place on Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Smetana network of the Municipal House.
The well-known and popular gatherings for children already belong to the seasons of the Symphony Orchestra hl. m Prague FOK. This season, however, they received a completely new coat, which gave them a TV dramaturg and screenwriter Jiří Chalupa, who is best known as the creator and presenter of the original Studio Kamarád on Czech television, but is also responsible for a whole series of fairy tales, such as Prinové sy na draka, How about a wedding, princes? or Let the stork fly, queen! In the new format, the guides will be Miss Jůlie and Mr. Notička, played by theater actresses Johanna Schmidtmajerová and television actor Mark the German, who is also the director of the program. He will take the baton in the traditional way Jan Kučera.
At the first meeting, the children and their parents will learn how music tells about home, what home meant to different composers and how they expressed the love of home in their work.
“At the first concert of the Orchestra, we will get to know Mr. Notička and Miss Jůlia, who will accompany us to all the concerts. This time we will stay at home. We will wake up in the morning, we will play, we will experience a moment when our parents are angry with us, but also a caress from our mother, a little fear when we stay at home alone and, of course, we will fall asleep in our crib at night. We will realize what home means to us and also how magically Music can express it.” Eva Kolková adds to the dramaturgy program of FOK educational programs.
