The clearing of the freight train that crashed in Poříčany on Monday evening slowed down the pumping of dangerous benzene from two derailed tankers. Because of this, the firemen had to evacuate the residents of the surrounding streets during the day on Tuesday.
In the middle, the safety belts only demarcate the place of intervention. Firefighters managed to pump out the benzene already at night, and people living in the vicinity were able to return home. Early on Wednesday morning, railway workers removed the crashed cars from the track using two cranes and are currently repairing the tracks.
