Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – According to the Verdi union, there was no agreement on Tuesday during the negotiations on relief for non-medical staff at the University Hospital in Frankfurt. According to a Verdi spokeswoman, it was not yet clear when the talks would normally take place. The largest group of the approximately 4,000 employees to whom the relief package should apply are nursing staff. The last talks are about a new system in which the workload of the nursing staff is recorded for each individual bed in each individual shift and the personnel requirements for a ward are determined on the basis of this. A preferred trade union statement was disputed, provided, for example, after how many stress days so-called relief days for the employees should follow.
In total, the clinic has around 7,500 employees with 1,279 inpatient beds and day clinic places. The employees had backed up their demands with warning strikes in the past few weeks.
