Here, ALS sufferer Alf (33) gets a dream meeting with Guardiola – NRK Sport – Sports news, results and broadcasting schedule
– It’s great that football can have a moment.
That’s what TV 2 expert Erik Thorstvedt says as the images of Norwegian Alf Brun roll across the TV screen.
The Norwegian was welcomed with open arms in the Park when FC Copenhagen played for Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Danish club has published one video on Twitter of manager Pep Guardiola approaching the Norwegian City supporter before the match. The video shows Guardiola saying a few words to Brun and posing for pictures.
Brun’s wife, Anne Brun Syversen, struggles to find words to describe experiences.
– It was absolutely sick. It was great fun. It was a moment for Alf to meet Guardiola, says Syversen to NRK.
– I don’t actually know what he said. I became so “starstruck”, she adds.
After the match, they also got to meet the rest of the light blue star gallery, which revealed Erling Braut Haaland who has sustained a minor injury.

Ask Twitter for help
Brun has left a deep mark on the football community after NRK told his story in September.
The Norwegian, who has lived with the cruel diagnosis since 2016, has long had a dream of seeing his favorite team one last time. When City drew FC Copenhagen in the Champions League this autumn, hope was dashed.
However, the disappointment was great when all the tickets were taken away. In his despair, Brun came up with the crazy idea of being Twitter for help to see City play football one last time.
Then the incredible happened: the Twitter message went viral and the disappointment turned to joy for FC Copenhagen got in touch and arranged VIP tickets for the big game.

Brun’s wife says the match experience has exceeded all expectations.
– There have been many impressions. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions. He has cried a little, but at the same time it has been joy. This is very, very touching, she says.
Dramatic game – three VAR decisions
From the stands, Brun and his wife got to see a fast-paced first half that had most of it – taken from target.
In the space of 20 minutes, referee Artur Soares Dias had to run to the VAR screen three times:
- In the 11th minute, he canceled out City and Rodri’s great strike. Just before the ball landed at Rodri’s feet, the ball passed through the hands of teammate Mahrez.
- Just over ten minutes later, it was FCK’s turn to act. The referee pointed to the penalty mark after a quick look at the VAR screen. Mahrez sent the ball to the left, but the hosts’ keeper was quickly down and saved.
- 30 minutes into the match, there was drama again when Sergio Gómez received the red card after holding Haraldsson and preventing him from a clear scoring opportunity.
Unbelievably, there were no goals either after the break and City went on to a surprising share of the points in Copenhagen.
Erling Braut Haaland started the match on the bench and was also not allowed to enter when the team was chasing the winning goal. In total, the Norwegian has 20 goals in 13 City games this season.
Of those, 15 have come in the Premier League, while five netizens have come in the Champions League.
