Election 2022 | Prague 10: ODS, TOP 09, Vlasta and STAN will rule
In Prague 10, the ODS and TOP 09 will govern together with the Vlasta and STAN coalition with the support of the KDU-ČSL, informed the representatives of the coalition parties who have already signed a memorandum of cooperation. The coalition will have 24 votes in the 45-member district council. According to the number of inhabitants, Prague 10 is the second largest district after Prague 4, with about 114,400 people living there last year.
The municipal elections in Prague 10 were won by the coalition Together – ODS and TOP 09, which won 14 mandates. The second coalition of Vlasta and STAN with the support of the People’s Party received ten mandates and the third ANO nine. The Pirates also got into the council with eight seats and the SPD, Trikolora and Independent candidates with four.
“The conclusion of cooperation with the Vlasta and STAN coalition with the support of the KDU-ČSL under conditions, which will now be detailed in detail, it gives us a real chance to move things forward as quickly as possible for the benefit of the ten inhabitants,” said the leader of the ODS and TOP 09 winning coalition, Martin Valovič (ODS), who should become mayor.
The parties will now, under a memorandum signed on Monday, negotiate a coalition agreement and a detailed planned cooperation. The constituent assembly, which will elect a new leadership, will probably take place in a few weeks due to the fact that complaints about the elections in Prague 10 have reached the court.
